Job summary

BrightFarms in Georgia is seeking a maintenance technician to install, service and repair electrical and mechanical systems across the plant. You will perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and troubleshoot issues to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Working with the Operations Team, you will read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and adhere to safety protocols to protect people and equipment. The role requires ladder work and PIV operation as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical/mechanical repairs on plant equipment.
• Familiarity with CMMS for work orders and records.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Capable of working at heights and on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated and non-automated equipment repairs (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
• Perform required preventive maintenance tasks for automated and non-automated equipment.
• Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of equipment or systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective components.
• Experienced in the use of electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, amp clamps and meggers to test electrical circuits and components and to locate shorts and faulty connections.
• Installs, repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical components.

Job Summary

Ensures all work is carried out in a safe and orderly manner. Complies with protocols and documentation as related to OSHA and food safety Provide technical knowledge and service, install, and maintain the electrical/mechanical needs of the plant. Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment to keep in good running order. Troubleshoot problems, recommend, and perform mechanical repairs to minimize downtime. Work collaboratively with Operations Team to share knowledge and contribute to a Continuous Improvement environment. Protect the company's investment in machinery and equipment by exercising proper care, skill and knowledge in the use of Company investments.

General Knowledge and Skills

• Familiarity of CMMS for completion of work orders,maintainingrecords of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
• Utilize technical materials such as equipment manuals, SDS, safety materials, system drawings, process, and instrument Diagrams (PandID's),schematicsand blueprints to troubleshoot andmaintainsystems.
• Read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineeringdrawingsand sketches todetermineproblemand makeappropriate repairs.
• Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping.
• Capableto workfrom ladders, and scaffolding in a safe manner.
• Capable of operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) (fork truck, aerial lift, etc.) Willing to be certified through Bright Farms Training
• Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
