Job summary

Nucor in Cedar Springs, GA, USA seeks an Industrial Maintenance technician to perform mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in a dynamic plant environment.

The role requires reading technical manuals, basic English, and flexibility for rotating shifts. You will collaborate with production teams to diagnose and repair equipment while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two years' Industrial Maintenance experience or industrial Mechanical experience.
• Must be able to read and write basic English.
• PLC experience
• Experience with AC & DC Motors, Drives, and Electrical Controls
• Process control design and troubleshooting.
• AutoCAD experience
• Experience working with vendors and contractors

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs to shop equipment and tools as necessary.
• Use multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical problems (low voltage control circuits, 110 thru 480 single and three phase electrical circuits).
• Complete maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance forms.
• Conduct equipment and safety inspections.
• Part fabrication (welding, cutting etc.).
• Be able to do various jobs around the plant, be it facility maintenance, plumbing etc. Strong ability to fabricate parts from scratch.
• Have knowledge to efficiently diagnose and repair mechanical and pneumatic energy systems.
• Work directly with production personnel to isolate and repair equipment problems.
