Job summary

Gildan is seeking a Maintenance/Engineering - Repair & Maintenance Electrical & Instrumentation Clerk I in Martinsville, VA. The role focuses on advanced maintenance of PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and automated systems, with leadership responsibilities for training junior technicians and ensuring PMs and work orders are completed.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year degree in Electrical & Instrumentation or related field and 2–4 years of relevant experience, including PLC and drive troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Electrical & Instrumentation or related field.
• 2 years relevant maintenance experience; 4 years preferred.
• PLC setup, programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with VFDs, HMI and SCADA systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, drives, HMIs and conveyors.
• Lead technicians; train and support other technicians.
• Maintain PM schedules and work orders for assigned departments.
