Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech to support the Senior Facilities Manager and Community Directors at our Kiln Fremont location, with planned coverage at Kiln Bellevue and Kiln Woodinville. The role focuses on upkeep, repairs, and coordinating with vendors to ensure a welcoming coworking environment.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to overlap business hours for collaboration with the community team.

Qualifications

• Finish carpentry or painting experience is required.
• Handyman experience is required.
• Reliable transportation is a must; mileage reimbursement provided for commuting between Kiln Fremont, Kiln Bellevue, and Kiln Woodinville.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility and a strong work ethic.
• Passion and understanding for Kiln's mission and values.
• Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and property repair.
• Ability to identify issues proactively without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and upgrade facilities and equipment.
• Patch and paint drywall; perform touch-ups; fix or install appliances and furniture.
• Move furniture and office panels; hang art; ensure door locks function correctly.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and temp staff; manage budgets and bids.
• Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance (e.g., HVAC filters, water filters).
• Ensure compliance with warranties and state/federal requirements.

Role Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Tech position supports the Senior Facilities Manager & Community Directors at our Kiln Fremont location and eventually our Kiln Bellevue and Kiln Woodinville locations, in executing the upkeep and general maintenance of the facility, coordinate with vendors when needed, aids staff by repairing reported issues, installing, and moving furniture, maintaining appliances, and assisting our team to ensure a pleasing atmosphere for the coworking community. This role will work 40 hours per week. We strive to maintain scheduling flexibility, while ensuring that the majority of each shift (approximately 75%) overlaps with standard business hours to support collaboration with the community team.

Major Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance:

• Patching and painting drywall
• Paint touch-ups
• Fixing furniture
• Fixing or installing appliances
• Moving office panels
• Moving office desks
• Hanging art
• Fixing Door Locks
• Moving furniture
• Scheduled Preventative Maintenance ie. HVAC Filters, water filters
• Maintain inventory of stored items
• Schedule and manage temp staff, contractors, and vendors
• Manage relationships and negotiate pricing/bids
• Coordinate approved capital projects as directed by the Community Director/Build and Procurement Team
