Job summary

Homestead Companies is seeking a Maintenance Tech II at Schrock Park in Columbus, OH. You will ensure the property's safety, functionality, and appearance by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks and responding to service requests from residents.

The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of tools and safety practices, and a willingness to obtain HVAC or CPO certifications if needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of property maintenance or related experience.
• Working knowledge of maintenance tools and safety procedures.
• Willingness to obtain HVAC and CPO certifications if needed.
• Strong resident relations skills and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders promptly and maintain records of maintenance activities and service requests.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on HVAC, appliances, etc.
• Inspect common areas, grounds, and units for hazards and safety concerns.
• Complete/assist unit turns and inspections.
• Maintain curb appeal through landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal as needed.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Performs additional duties as needed to support business operations.
