Job summary

Blue Skies of Texas Senior Living Community in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Maintenance Tech II to maintain facilities and equipment ensuring a safe, reliable environment for residents and staff. You will work with in-house and contracted teams, handling diverse tasks from basic repairs to preventive maintenance.

The role emphasizes safety, timely work-order completion, and independence while supporting a vibrant senior living community.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of maintenance or repair experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record.
• EPA certification or ability to obtain within 4–6 months.
• Experience closing out work orders through EQUIPS.
• Proficient with digital tools and work iPads to document maintenance tasks.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Certified Pool Operator (CPO).

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and manages assigned work orders with safety and quality as top priorities.
• Complies with safety rules and general policies.
• Responds to emergency maintenance calls to protect residents and facilities.
• Prioritizes urgent and life-safety work orders.
• Maintains daily time sheets and document tasks.
• Maintains inventory of materials, parts, and tools.
• Ensures tools are on-hand when responding to work orders.
• Performs minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks as directed.
• Troubleshoots and repairs door hardware and appliances as directed.
