Job summary

DelGrosso Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold the operation of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in our production facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and document repairs to keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires lifting 50-70 pounds, working from multiple positions, and having your own tools. Prior experience with conveyor systems and production machinery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding, machining, pneumatics, hydraulics and plumbing is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems is a must.
• Experience maintaining moving machinery preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and work from upright, kneeling, and prone positions.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of machinery by performing preventative maintenance on pneumatics, conveyors, and production machines.
• Adjust device components and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edge.
• Document repairs and communicate needs using work orders.
• Troubleshoot production systems to keep them running.
• Identify problems by observing equipment in operation and using precision measuring tools.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes and hand/power tools.

Job description

Education and Qualifications: Experience in welding, machining, pneumatics, hydraulics and plumbing is required. The ability to troubleshoot problems is a must. Experience with maintaining moving machinery preferred. Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and work from upright, kneeling, and prone positions. Must have own tools.

Essential Functions:

• Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and strait edge.
• Maintain continuity of repairs by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using work orders.
• Troubleshoot using basic working mechanical knowledge of production systems and what needs to occur to keep them running.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
