Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center located in New Milford, PA, is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to repair and maintain facility equipment and conveyance systems. You will follow preventive maintenance standards and document work in the asset management system.

The role requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience, DAS in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings. Strong safety awareness and LOTO experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in mechanical/electrical field.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/DC setting.
• Welding, burning and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings or schematics.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support the DC's operational needs.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
