Coilplus, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform complex preventative maintenance and root cause analysis on production equipment in a metal processing facility.
The ideal candidate has a technical degree, at least six years of maintenance experience, and proficiency with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Welding certification is a plus and teamwork is essential.

Performs more complex maintenance and repairs requiring in-depth problem-solving root cause analysis using multi-craft skills in electrical, mechanical and hydraulics to diagnose production equipment problems. Evaluates and recommends equipment changes to improve efficiency, and capability.
Performs more complex preventative plant maintenance on all plant machinery, seeing that known equipment issues with temporary fixes are checked regularly to minimize production downtime. Checks machinery for leaking and fluid levels daily. Communicates non-compliance problems to supervisor to ensure that potential future issues are addressed to minimize downtime.
Minimizes downtime by reviewing operation of plant equipment and systems. Performs, in a timely manner, more complex equipment breakdown analysis by using in-depth multi-craft problem-solving skills in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic disciplines to determine root cause of equipment systems and parts failures. Repairs equipment and systems as needed to prevent future breakdowns. If needed, uses welding skills to repair mechanical issues.
Alerts supervisor and production management of equipment repairs that must be scheduled in the near future to minimize production interruptions. Works with supervisor and production management to determine the best time to perform the necessary repairs. Prepares technical reports to document equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned
Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
