Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across the distribution center. You will follow preventive maintenance standards, document work in our asset system, and report spare parts needs to leadership.

The role requires experience with conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controls, and ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, with mechanical or electrical AS degree or cert preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in maintenance for DC equipment
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and reading electrical/mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems.
• Follow PM standards and document work for asset management.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely within the DC.
• Perform additional duties to support DC operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC's, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment. Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained. Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets. Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor. Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it's operational needs

Qualifications

Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application 3-5 years of experience Welding, burning, cutting Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics Good safety awareness Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs. Experience with LOTO Basic English reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills.
