About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to help launch our brand new warehouse in Bethlehem, PA in June 2026. Supporting our management team, you will run the new conveyor system and lead associates through the change at our new facility.

Schedule

• FH Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday 4'10s: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Over‑time scheduled as business needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems.
• Inspect and troubleshoot automated conveyance and sortation equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems.
• Plan, schedule, and implement corrective actions using available tools and equipment.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and complete work orders, log maintenance activities, and manage inventory of spare parts.
• Create maintenance schedules and manage work orders electronically.
• Perform basic control programming and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
• Analyze root causes for machine malfunctions, including proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, conveyor motors, stretch wrappers, dock doors, etc.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings for motor control circuits.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments for efficient workflow and communication.
• Perform safety inspections of maintenance and production areas.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees (e.g., lock‑out/tag‑out and OSHA standards).
• Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff.
• Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety guidelines.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a distribution or fulfillment center.
• Preferred experience with automated conveyor systems, maintenance apprenticeship, and repairing material handling equipment.
• Preferred technical certification and associate degree or higher in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with basic trades and troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480 V.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.
• Outstanding attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Organized, able to problem‑solve, multitask, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to priority changes to maximize equipment availability.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Experience with CMMS software for managing maintenance activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience operating pit equipment (work at height expected).

Physical Demands

• Stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours.
• Push/pull, bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.
• Climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
