Job summary

Amarillo Gear Company LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems on production equipment. The role requires PLC and CNC programming knowledge, strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, and at least 5 years in industrial maintenance.

You will perform PMs, diagnose issues, and coordinate parts orders while adhering to safety standards and using CMMS systems for work orders and maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience programming PLC and CNC controls.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive assigned work orders and complete tasks within the timeline.
• Enter details into worksheets for MRP and CMMS systems.
• Perform scheduled PMs and visually inspect equipment.
• Test machines for proper function.
• Order parts as needed and perform repairs on production equipment.
• Lay out, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic piping and components.
• Assist in TPM development and implementation.
• Adhere to safety policies on the production floor.

Installs, maintains and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, mechanical and electrical systems on all production equipment and can work independently in the performance of standard maintenance and repairs.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent (required). A technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.Associate’s degree in Machining or Certificate in Industrial maintenance.At least 5 years of Industrial maintenance experience.SPECIAL SKILLS:Thorough knowledge of programming of PLC and CNC controls.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and understanding of various industrial machinery and systemsProblem solving and diagnostic abilities to analyze equipment issues and find solutionsKnowledge of safety regulations and proceduresStrong communications skills to collaborate with production on timelines and schedulesProficiency in word, excel, and online CMMS systemsRESPONSIBILITIES:Daily, receives assigned work order to complete on equipment and completes tasks in the allocated timeline.Upon completion of work, enters appropriate information onto worksheet for submission into MRP and CMMS system.Performs scheduled PMs and visually inspect.Test assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality.May be required to order requisition parts as needed.Perform repairs on production machines and/or equipment when a malfunction has been detected.
