Job summary

Hamilton Security Group in Milford, OH is seeking an Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on production lines. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, PLC/controls troubleshooting, and safety compliance.

You will work on HVAC, pneumatics, conveyors, and building systems, reading schematics and blueprints, performing repairs, and logging work orders while following OSHA LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with AC/DC circuits, low voltage systems, and 480V industrial power distribution.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in repairing hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and conveyors.
• Skills in welding, metal fabrication, pipefitting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
• Maintenance experience with HVAC systems and dust collection.
• Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production lines and plant machinery.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM): inspect, oil, calibrate, and service equipment on a regular schedule.
• Provide PLC & Controls support: monitor, troubleshoot, or program PLCs and basic electrical control panels.
• Maintain facility systems including HVAC units, lighting, boilers, air compressors, and plumbing.
• Adhere to safety & compliance guidelines including LOTO and PPE.
• Document repairs, log work orders, and track spare parts inventory.
