Job summary

AdventHealth in Maitland, Florida, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support routine and preventive maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and alarm systems.

You will maintain records, respond to work orders, and collaborate with departments to ensure uptime and safety. A high school diploma and driver's license are required; healthcare setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes.
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Proficient in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Ability to enter data in CMMS system.
• Complete all work as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.

• Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested.
• Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner.
• Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
