Blount Fine Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems in McKinney, TX. This first-shift role (5 AM–3 PM) supports our clean, high-standard food processing environment and requires hands-on repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance actions.

• High school diploma with trade certification or 4 years related experience.
• 3 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• LOTO certification and safe work practices required.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspect equipment and perform mechanical/electrical diagnostics.
• Repair and replace motors, conveyors, pumps, transformers and controls.
• Install, calibrate and adjust machinery for optimal performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and correct equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in processing areas.
• Operate maintenance tools and gas cutting/welding systems safely.

The pay range for this opportunity is $31.00-$31.78

THIS POSITION IS FIRST SHIFT, 5AM-3PM.

Summary: Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance on production equipment and/or building as requested by the maintenance supervisor. In event of absence, position will be filled by equal level position, Supervisor or appropriately trained Supervisor designee.

Routinely inspect equipment

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical diagnostic, troubleshooting repair and replacement on motors, conveyors and pumps. 3 years of experience preferred.
• Install, adjust and calibrate new or modified machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing faulty electrical components such as transformers, motors, controllers, circuit breakers, and wiring. 3 years of experience preferred.
• Performing scheduled inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures. 3 years of experience preferred.
• Routinely inspect equipment to identify / report potential equipment failure.
• Routinely inspect equipment to identify / report potential equipment safety issues. (personnel and / or food safety)
• Routinely inspect plant utilities to identify / report potential equipment failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled and /or assigned to process equipment.
• Perform repairs to maintain the operational ability and integrity of process equipment.
• Maintain areas outside of processing areas, to the level of requirements of the Master Sanitation Plan.
• Perform preoperational equipment setup / maintenance and post operational equipment teardown / maintenance on process equipment.
• Safely operate various maintenance power tools and measuring instruments.
• Safely operate gas cutting and welding systems.
• Safely operate forklifts, manual and /or electric pallet jacks (Plant Certification)
• Must be LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) Certified

Maintain all required maintenance & company records and documents

• Maintain updates, create and do Work Orders & Preventive Maintenance Worksheets within the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Maintain and understand how to use equipment manuals that are located within the Maintenance Library.

Education & Development

High school diploma and a Trade school certification

Or 4 years related experience.
