Job DescriptionPOSITION: Maintenance Technician IDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceLOCATION: Pembroke PinesREPORTS TO: Maintenance SupervisorSHIFT:STATUS: Level 1 Maintenance TechnicianJob Grade 5- Rate $22.50/hourlyGENERAL PURPOSEThis position will perform industrial maintenance and repairs for assigned facilities while providing value by safely and efficiently supporting the production team.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform all work in a safe manner following all Company safety policies and procedures.Maintain, troubleshoot, PM, and repair facilities equipment in assigned area, including all engineering domestic services.Maintain open and accurate communication with other maintenance employees.Complete all assigned work orders and accurately documenting all prudent information describing the completion of the work order.Complete MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) documentation on work orders in FIIX CMMSPerform technical maintenance tasks under guidance of the supervisor.Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories.Work with outside contractors to complete projects and improvements wherever possible.Maintain all facility grounds and services.Other duties and responsibilities as needed under hierarchy of duties.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:High School Diploma or G.E.D., and 2 years experience in a maintenance occupation in an industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.Knowledge of single & three phase motors and Air ConditioningReading blueprintsBasic rigging skills requiredUnderstanding of electricity required.Working knowledge of every energy source for each piece of utility equipment in assigned area (electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.).Ability to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.) required.Ability to work independently when directed.Basic understanding of various diagnostic equipment including but not limited to ohms meter, voltage meters, etc. basic knowledge and understanding of power equipment to include cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc. RequiredThoroughly understand and follow all OSHA and Company regulations as they relate to the maintenance field (LOTO, CSE, PPE, etc.).Understanding of critical maintenance, repair and operations. RequiredStrong written and verbal skills.Completion of Level I Assessment Training.
