Job description

Job Summary

Maintenance Technician I at Mueller focuses on ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. The role involves routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and equipment repair to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and maintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering devices, and other electrical measuring devices.
  • Fabricate and install metallic and non‑metallic conduit, bus duct, and wire raceways.
  • Design and build control panels and draw schematics.
  • Lubricate electrical motors and use a variety of electrical/electronic test equipment including multimeters, ledgers, amp probes, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Repair electronic components and circuit boards, including programmable controllers and CNC/DNC machine tools.
  • Keep job sites clean and organized, handle material handling equipment, cranes, hoists, and man lifts in accordance with Plant Safety Rules and OSHA standards.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and adjustments on production and non‑production equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to job functions.
  • Assist other skilled classifications as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum 2+ years).
  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with shop tools (grinders, plasma cutters, etc.).
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
  • Good mathematical, problem‑solving, observational, communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds, work with PPE, and handle shop tasks.
  • Forklift experience, electrical experience, and multicraft experience preferred.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection where applicable, protective clothing, electrostatic dissipative (ESD) gear, steel‑toe shoes.
Schedule and Work Hours

Work is scheduled Monday through Saturday with 8‑hour shifts and multiple shift options. Employees must be flexible and may be required to change shifts.
