Electrical Maintenance Technician – Electrical

Mueller Co., a leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to work at its Chattanooga, TN plant.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with at least four years of verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment, capable of installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of electrical equipment and circuitry.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting, signals, and alarms.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot relay logic circuits, starters, motors, metering devices, and other electrical/mechanical components.
• Fabricate and install conduit, buss duct, and wire raceways.
• Design and build control panels and draw schematics.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohm meters, amp probes, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other electrical/electronic test tools.
• Update and maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Repair circuit boards and electronic components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot programmable controllers on various manufacturing equipment.
• Clean and maintain jobsites, operate material handling equipment, cranes, hoists, and man lifts per OSHA and Plant Safety Rules.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, and adjustments.
• Instruct trainees when necessary and assist other skilled classifications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical trade, plant operating principles, and National Electrical Code.
• Hands‑on experience with electric motors, programmable drives, high‑voltage circuits, control panels, PLC systems, and programmable controllers.
• Ability to read schematic diagrams and troubleshooting logs.
• Self‑motivated, able to work all shifts and possible overtime.
