Job summary

OC Sports & Entertainment, LLC in Orange County is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to perform repairs and upkeep across our venues. This is a full-time, on-site role within the Operations Department.

The starting hourly range is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour; actual rate depends on internal value and job-related factors. You should be proficient with hand and power tools and able to read English.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in the use of various hand and power tools.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent decision-making skills and follow-through.
• Punctual and able to complete projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Repair drywall, paint, tile, carpet, concrete patching, door and lock repair, and other repairs as necessary.
• Perform required repairs/upkeep as needed to arena seating and miscellaneous equipment.
• Metal and woodworking – fabrication/welding.
• Maintain proper inventory levels in the Maintenance Shop and pick up supplies as needed.
• Perform preventive inspections.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Partner with management on various projects and job duties, such as on new and inventive maintenance procedures and protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate range for this position is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

The Maintenance Tech I is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position within the Operations Department. Maintenance Techs are responsible for performing maintenance duties across assigned locations and venues, including responding to and resolving building-related issues and service requests. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Must be skilled in the use of various hand and power tools
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance capacity or similar role
• Basic computer proficiency
• Excellent decision-making skills and follow-through skills
• Punctual and able to complete projects on time
• Energetic, self-motivated, and eager to learn new operating procedures
• Able to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lift and can obtain necessary certification if applicable
• Able read and write in English
• Able to use a handheld radio and communicate effectively
• Possess a valid California driver’s license and a good driving record
• Requires prolonged standing and bending; able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Able to work a flexible schedule with varying shifts, weekends, and some holidays as required
