Job summary

WRMC, Inc. is seeking a property maintenance professional for our Downtown Austin community in the Rainey Street District. This full-time role runs Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with Sundays and Mondays off and on-call availability.

You will perform routine maintenance and basic repairs across common areas and residential units to keep the property safe and comfortable. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of maintenance experience, solid plumbing/electrical/HVAC basics, and a proactive,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property/building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and general repairs.
• Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Reliability and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
• Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
• Assist HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
• Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
• Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
• Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
• Serve as backup support to the Chief Building Engineer when required.
