Job summary

Worth Ross Management Company (WRMC) seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician for a luxury residential community in Downtown Austin. You will perform preventative maintenance, handle routine repairs, and support building operations to ensure residents enjoy a best-in-class living experience.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or property management environments.
• Basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication abilities.
• EPA Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver"s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of building systems and common areas.
• Complete basic repairs including drywall, painting, light plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC filter replacements.
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of lobbies, hallways, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Respond to maintenance requests and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors, including providing building access and monitoring completed work.
• Support move-ins, move-outs, and freight elevator operations as needed.
• Assist with general property upkeep, package handling, and operational support during busy periods.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when required.

What You Need to Succeed

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a professional, resident-focused approach.
• Experience working with vendors and contractors is a plus.
• EPA Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on the property.
