Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, NY is hiring a Maintenance Technician-Full Time to ensure smooth facility operations and high-quality resident care. The role covers day and evening shifts, performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine upkeep of the 39-acre campus and its buildings.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Dependable, adaptable to change, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and inspections with required documentation.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly checks of equipment; complete repairs and cleaning as assigned.
• Handle general maintenance and repairs of building, grounds, and equipment (walls, tiles, floors, ceilings, plumbing, fixtures, kitchen equipment) as needed.
• Attend and participate in educational classes and in-services.
• Conduct daily rounds on all units to repair and submit written requests to maintain residents’ quality of life.
• Maintain records of work performed and coordinate with supervisor for parts and supplies.
