West Oaks Hospital in Houston seeks a Maintenance Tech to join our team, performing installs, repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical and plumbing equipment across hospital systems. Under supervision of the Director, Support Services and Lead Maintenance Tech, you will help ensure equipment reliability, participate in codes, and support daily operations and special events.

A High School Diploma or GED and a Texas driver license are required, with hospital maintenance

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensure: Valid Texas Driver License required.
Experience: Three years in hospital maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes all preventive and corrective maintenance work orders as assigned.
Ensures proper operation of hospital equipment.
Assists in documentation for JCAHO and state/local regulatory agencies.
Maintains facilities appearance inside and outside.
Performs repairs in a timely manner.
Participates in codes related to the facility, planned or emergency.
Rotates on-call with other departments.
Sets up rooms for activities by moving tables, chairs and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and included a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.

We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.

West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Maintenance Tech to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Maintenance Tech will be under general direction of the Director, Support Services and the Lead Maintenance Tech. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for installs, repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical or plumbing equipment throughout the hospital systems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Completes all preventive, corrective, work orders as assigned.
Assures the proper operation of all hospital equipment.
Assists Director in compilation of all documentation for JCAHO and all state, city, and local regulatory agencies.
Maintains facilities appearance – interior, exterior, and grounds.
Takes care of all repairs and tasks in a timely manner.
Participates in all codes related to the facility, planned or emergency.
Rotates “On – Call” with other departmental.
Set up rooms for activities or classes by moving tables, chairs and equipment to support daily activities and special events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
