Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Southeast apartment communities. You’ll perform day-to-day maintenance, from painting and electrical work to HVAC and carpentry, ensuring each unit is safe, functional, and move-in ready.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience in multifamily housing.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents and teammates.
• Handle day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Respond quickly and professionally to service requests.
• Ensure apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready.
• Work with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized.
