Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Castleton-on-Hudson, New York, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to keep our facility safe and well-maintained. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, building systems, and grounds to support resident care.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and preventive maintenance, with on-call availability. We value a high school diploma and 2 years' hands-on experience with tools and building systems,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years' experience with hand tools and general engineering equipment.
• Two years' experience with electrical, heating, plumbing, boilers, and air conditioning systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness for on-call and emergency work.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs on facility equipment and buildings.
• Perform plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, and related tasks.
• Maintain logs and forms and record required information.
• Complete tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Build structures for resident use, such as benches and flower boxes.
• Replace and unclog hair traps, plumbing fixtures, and electrical outlets.
• Paint interior and exterior walls and install wallpaper.
• Install and check batteries of smoke alarms.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and record information.
