Job summary

The Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Syracuse, NY is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to join our 513-bed skilled nursing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds, performing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, and delivering high-quality service to residents and staff.

You will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and play a key role in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and reliable operations across the campus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior building and grounds; perform preventive maintenance and keep records.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues; complete work orders and paperwork.
• Respond quickly to daily maintenance requests and keep areas clean while working with maintenance staff.
• Perform physical labor including lifting, carrying, and bending.
