• Respond promptly to daily maintenance requests and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Perform physical labor including lifting, carrying and bending as required.

Job Summary:

At the Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a 513-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, New York, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Tech to join our team. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall organization and maintenance of our facility, including performing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, as well as providing excellent customer service to our residents and staff. With a focus on delivering high-quality care and services, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development. Maintenance Tech is a key role in our maintenance team, reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the interior and exterior maintenance of the building and grounds, including carrying out preventative maintenance and record keeping.
• Basic knowledge/Trouble shooting of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues and complete work orders and submit proper paperwork.
• Ensure an adequate response time for daily maintenance requests and maintain cleanliness of areas while working and communicating with the maintenance staff.
• Perform a variety of physical labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and bending.
