Maintenance Technician 1 - 2nd and 3rd Shifts Available! Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for basic repairs, troubleshooting, and performing preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on all assigned equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and safety in the production environment. Key Role Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct basic preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform basic troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs of production machinery and equipment.
- Mechanical and Electrical Work: Execute mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs as required.
- Collaboration: Assist Manufacturing Engineering with process or equipment improvements, communicating effectively with Tool and Die, Engineering, Supervisors, and outside vendors regarding projects and repair issues.
- Fabrication Skills: Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as needed is preferred.
- Equipment Maintenance: Carry out the sequence of work to install, repair, and maintain a wide variety of production and building equipment.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform basic work on interior and exterior building/facilities equipment such as air compressors, HVAC units, lighting/fans, and restroom facilities.
- Machinery Handling: Move and install large machinery as required.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, maintenance work orders, or manufacturer manuals.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize basic hand and power tools, machine tools, and precision measuring equipment effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
- 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Good organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while meeting operational deadlines.
- Self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Fork truck operator experience preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting within safety regulations.
- Willingness to work overtime regularly and with minimal notice to meet business needs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
