Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems to keep facilities running safely and efficiently.

You will specialize in fire doors and life safety systems in accordance with NFPA 80, inspect installations, diagnose issues, and assist with installing and modifying building equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
  • Must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Maintain fire doors and other life safety systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
  • Specialize in inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facility fire doors per NFPA 80.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review work orders and track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect installations for code and safety compliance.

About The Role

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.


As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.


This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.



What You’ll Do


  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on the facilities fire doors and other fire life safety systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance.

  • Specialize in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facility fire and life safety doors in accordance with NFPA 80 standards.

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.

  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.

  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.

  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.

  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.



What You’ll Need:


  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
