Shaw Industries Ltd in Calhoun, GA seeks a Reliability Technician B for a 12-hour shift (7 pm–7 am) to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement on process and support equipment, prioritizing safety and quality.

You will work on mechanical systems, PM/PdM tasks, and contribute to operational excellence, mentoring peers and supporting downtime reduction and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Safety practices and LOTO knowledge are required.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Maintenance knowledge across PM, PdM, and CM practices.

Responsabilités

• Perform assigned maintenance tasks with emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability.
• Maintain equipment such as bearings, pulleys, gears, motors, and conveyors.
• Support troubleshooting and repair to reduce downtime and improve process performance.
• Participate in preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance planning.
• Mentor junior reliability technicians and assist in project work.

Job Description

The Reliability Technician B is responsible for executing assigned maintenance tasks and duties with a strong focus on safety, quality, equipment reliability, and customer service. This role supports manufacturing operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of process and support equipment while contributing to operational excellence and business objectives.

• Troubleshoot and execute repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivity opportunities, and issues.
• Communicate findings, identifying potential causes and corrective actions to Operations and Maintenance leadership.
• Execute and provide feedback on proactive maintenance plans on assigned equipment, including:

Preventive Maintenance (PM)

• Inspection and measurement of equipment components for proper function.
• Replacement of components on pre-defined schedules.
• Lubrication activities.

Predictive Maintenance (PdM)

• Inspection and measurement of equipment performance.
• Application of Infrared Thermography.
• Collection of oil samples for outside analysis.
• Basic ultrasound measurement with audible evaluation.

Condition Maintenance (CM)

• Repair and replacement of components identified through PM and PdM activities.
• Influence in the development of detailed job plans.
• Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement (PI) efforts identified as critical to business objectives.
• Mentor Reliability Techs C and D in development of needed skills.
• Continue strengthening personal skills by assisting Reliability Tech A’s and Leads in installation and removal of general mechanical systems.
