Job summary

Traveler’s Oasis Travel Plaza is seeking a Maintenance Tech Assistant to perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and operate a company vehicle. The role requires flexibility to meet business needs and offers pay DOE.

Responsibilities include painting, carpentry, equipment servicing, and ensuring safety on site while supporting a team in a fast-paced environment. Prior maintenance experience is preferred, with opportunities to learn and grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Minimum 1 year of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Background and MVR check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities by performing painting, carpentry repairs, installations, mowing, pump repair, and building maintenance.
• Complete work orders and perform scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Lead others without supervision and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate a company vehicle and assist in lawn maintenance and pressure washing.
• Report to work on time and follow safety policies.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

The assistant maintenance director is a full-time role and requires flexibility depending on business needs. Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of equipment, clogged drains, and fountain equipment including ice machines. Previous Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing experience a plus. Position requires the operation of a company vehicle. Must be a self-starter and be self-motivated to succeed. Even if you don't have experience with everything listed above, we will work with you to overcome the learning curve and become familiar with our operational expectations. Pay DOE

Duties

• Maintains facilities by performing painting, carpentry repairs, installations, mowing, pump repair, and building maintenance
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs
• Participate in training for existing and new equipment
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Always provides excellent customer service, greeting and thanking customers.
• Maintenance on the interiors and exteriors of multiple buildings and properties.
• Must be able to work and lead others without supervision.
• Completes work orders, performs scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.
• May assist in any manner of lawn maintenance, as well as pressure washing
• Works in a manner that always promotes job safety by taking all necessary precautions when using equipment and chemicals. As well as protecting employees and customers safety on site.
• Report to work on time and follow uniform policies, including wearing proper safety vests while working outside.
• Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use hand cart, power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, able to use a ladder, and must be able to lift 80 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and ability to work independently
• 1 year of experience in the General Maintenance field preferred
• Requires driving a company vehicle
• Routinely ascending and descending ladders
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, must be insurable
• Background and MVR check.
