Job summary

Helen-Farabee-Centers seeks a full-time Facilities Technician to perform skilled maintenance and repair work on facilities and vehicles in Wichita Falls, TX. You will operate across plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, and grounds maintenance, under the Property Manager's supervision.

Requirements include a High School/GED and 5 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and passing all required trainings.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or GED and must have 5 years’ experience in building/vehicle maintenance and repair work.
  • Must have current driver’s license and be insurable under Center insurance.
  • Must pass all Center-mandated trainings.

Performs skilled maintenance and repair work for HFC’s facilities and vehicles.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Works under the general supervision of the Property Manager.
  • Responsible for skilled maintenance and repair work in areas such as plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, mechanical, heating & air conditioning, and grounds maintenance, and other duties assigned. Work involves maintenance of all facilities and vehicles.
  • Works under moderate supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Travel is required for which a center vehicle is provided.
  • Some on-call after hours required.
  • HFC incorporates principles of trauma-informed care throughout the agency, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and a safe and respectful environment for all individuals served and staff.
