Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Tech 4 to join our Duro-Last brand in Saginaw, MI. You will install, test, and repair electrical systems, heavy machinery, and automated controls in our manufacturing plants, focusing on reliability and safety.

The role requires a 4- to 5-year electrical apprenticeship, journeyman or master license, and strong troubleshooting skills. Overtime is required; full-time, hourly, non-exempt; 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma followed by a 4- to 5-year electrical apprenticeship.
• Valid state or regional journeyman or master electrician license.
• Deep understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial machinery.
• Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Good teamwork and communication to work with plant operators and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Install complex electrical circuits, wiring, high-voltage infrastructure, and production machinery.
• Perform routine preventive checks and fix electrical faults quickly to avoid downtime.
• Diagnose wiring errors, motor issues, and sensor failures using multimeters and diagnostic gear.
• Maintain and calibrate PLCs and industrial robotics.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and NEC standards for safety.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

What is the purpose of this position

Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical systems, heavy
machinery, and automated controls in our manufacturing plants, and industrial facilities located in
Saginaw, MI.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation: Set up complex electrical circuits, wiring, high-voltage infrastructure, and
  production machinery.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventive checks and fix electrical faults
  quickly to avoid costly factory downtime.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose wiring errors, motor issues, and sensor failures using
  multimeters and diagnostic gear.
• Automation & PLCs: Maintain and calibrate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  and industrial robotics.
• Safety Compliance: Follow strict protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) rules and
  National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Reading Technical Docs: Interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and
  equipment manuals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education:High school diploma followed by a 4- to 5-year electrical apprenticeship.
• Licensing:Valid state or regional journeyman or master electrician license.
• Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and
  industrial machinery.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in tight
  spaces.
• Communication:Good teamwork and communication skills to work alongside plant
  operators and engineers

Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Maintenance department.
