Job summary

The Campbell's Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Ohio facility. You will ensure facility infrastructure, utility systems, and production support equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing mechanical and electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Experience using a CMMS to document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), inspections, corrective maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and special projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related equipment issues.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities and document findings in CMMS.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Fabricate, modify, install, and repair equipment and facility systems as needed.
• Apply root cause analysis and other techniques to identify recurring issues.
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Maintain and repair facility and utility systems including HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, plumbing, and electrical systems.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our facility infrastructure, utility systems, and production support equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. Your expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility systems will help drive operational excellence, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a safe environment for our employees and operations.
What You Will Do…

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), inspections, corrective maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and special projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related equipment issues.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities and accurately document findings using the CMMS system.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Fabricate, modify, install, and repair equipment, tools, and facility systems as needed.
• Apply root cause analysis (RCA), breakdown failure analysis (BDA), and cause mapping techniques to identify and resolve recurring equipment issues.
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies including:
• Ultrasound
• Thermal Imaging
• Oil Analysis
• Vibration Analysis
• Document equipment failures and partner with maintenance teams to prevent recurrence.
  

Facility & Utility Systems Support

• Maintain and repair facility and utility systems including:
• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Building systems
• Water heaters and boilers
• Steam systems
• Chilled water systems
• Electrical power systems
• Compressed air systems
• Natural gas systems
• Perform maintenance and repairs on:
• HVAC systems
• Refrigeration systems
• Instrumentation systems
• Elevator systems
• Pumps and motors
• Plumbing systems
• Carpentry-related repairs
• Grounds maintenance
• Painting and facility upkeep
• Repair, replace, and rebuild plumbing fixtures, drains, vents, faucets, and toilets.
• Perform basic wallboard installation and repair.
• Assist with inspection, testing, repair, and replacement of:
• Fire alarm systems
• Fire sprinkler systems
• Smoke detectors
• Emergency lighting systems
• Exit signage

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Follow all plant and maintenance safety procedures, including:
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
• Arc Flash Safety
• Hot Work Permits
• Confined Space Procedures
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, GMP, and applicable company standards.
• Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret technical documents, including:
• Blueprints
• Schematics
• P&IDs
• Single-line electrical drawings
• Mechanical and electrical diagrams
• Factory manuals

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability.
• Participate in plant improvement initiatives and reliability programs.
• Attend training, seminars, and skill development opportunities to enhance technical capabilities.

What You Bring To The Table… (must Have)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing mechanical and electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ability to pass the site-specific maintenance assessment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ability to document maintenance work accurately and utilize computer systems effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing, lifting, bending, stooping, and extended periods of standing and walking.

• Technical school, vocational training, or college coursework in maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions.
• Occasional exposure to heights, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and cleaning chemicals.
• Moderate noise environment requiring adherence to safety and PPE requirements.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
