Job summary

Valence in Connecticut is seeking a Maintenance Technician with experience in electrical, plumbing and general machine repair and maintenance. Duties include oil changes on key machines, troubleshooting equipment, and reading blueprints with HVAC system maintenance.

Weekend/evening work and cross-training with other departments are expected. A high school or technical diploma is required; 2-5 years in maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school or technical school diploma/GED.
• 2-5 years’ Maintenance and Facilities Experience.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive communicator.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes on key machines and troubleshoot equipment.
• Read blueprints and maintain HVAC systems.
• Cross-train with other functions and departments in the company.
• Respond to emergency maintenance repairs; may work on weekends/evenings when necessary.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Candidate must have experience in electrical, plumbing and general machine repair and maintenance. Duties will include but not be limited to changing oils on key machines, troubleshooting problems with equipment, reading blueprints, HVAC system maintenance etc. Vacuum chamber experience would be preferred but not essential. Candidate must also be capable of cross training with other functions and departments in the company. Respond to emergency maintenance repairs and must be able to work on weekends/evenings when necessary. Ability to read, write and speak English. A minimum of high school or technical school diploma/GED is required. Compensation will be based on experience and will include participation in 401k and benefits package. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
