Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in South Windsor, CT is seeking a maintenance technician with electrical, plumbing and general machine repair experience. The role covers oil changes, troubleshooting, blueprints reading and HVAC maintenance, with cross-training across departments.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years in maintenance, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Weekend/evening availability and a 401k benefits package are included.

• Respond to emergency maintenance and work weekends/evenings as needed.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance; possible night/shifts.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Candidate must have experience in electrical, plumbing and general machine repair and maintenance.
• Duties will include but not be limited to changing oils on key machines, troubleshooting problems with equipment, reading blueprints, HVAC system maintenance etc.
• Vacuum chamber experience would be preferred but not essential. Candidate must also be capable of cross training with other functions and departments in the company.
• Respond to emergency maintenance repairs and must be able to work on weekends/evenings when necessary.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• A minimum of high school or technical school diploma/GED is required.
• Compensation will be based on experience and will include participation in 401k and benefits package.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
