Job Description

Position Summary:

Selected candidates for a Level Three Maintenance Technician position are master mechanics who work independently to troubleshoot and repair NC machines, demonstrating the ability to read blueprints, operate NC controls, and assemble/disassemble machines, serving as either a mechanical or technical SME.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain punctual attendance according to shift schedules.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization supporting 6S initiatives.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space tasks as necessary.
  • Wear and maintain PPE and follow safety procedures.
  • Operate facility equipment such as power tools, hoists, cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts safely.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motion controls (hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain systems including powder coating, inline paint, vapor degreaser, HVAC, plating, and more.
  • Operate production equipment like ovens, dryers, tanks, compressors, and paint booths.
  • Order and manage inventory of materials, tools, and parts.
  • Fabricate racks and tooling.
  • Perform Stick, MIG, and TIG welding.
  • Operate machine tools for repair and fabrication.
  • Maintain machinery including air compressors and plumbing systems.
  • Perform electrical work related to facilities and machinery.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, dismantling, and repairs of machinery.
  • Assist with heavy lifting using hoists when necessary.
  • Work in environments with chemicals, fumes, noise, and varying weather conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Attention to detail and quick learning ability.
  • Effective communication and positive representation of the company.
  • Normal or corrected vision, including color vision.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team, with good cooperation skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor lower-level employees.
  • Basic knowledge of algebra and geometry.
  • Understanding of facility layouts and systems such as waste treatment, HVAC, and water systems.

Required Experience:

  • 6-10 years of related experience.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
