Job summary

Tate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install and maintain facility equipment ensuring production runs with minimal supervision. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain PM schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, mechanical field certification or equivalent experience, and 4 years of maintenance experience. Proficiency with MS Office and safe work practices are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Run diagnostic tests to verify system functionality.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely per PM plans.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment on a schedule.
  • Mentor and train junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in all tasks.

About The Role

The Maintenance Technician installs and maintains facility equipment and machinery in order to maintain the required production levels under minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do
  • Checking system functionality by running diagnostic tests
  • Using power and hand tools (e.g. hosts and cranes) to install new systems and replace defective parts.
  • Repairing devices/Lasers/Robotic fixtures/ Paint Equipment/Assemble models/air compressors/ general facility.
  • Installing complex mechanical systems
  • Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
  • Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
  • Follows all Company safety rules and regulations including LOTO and wears all required PPE.
  • Reads and understands maintenance work orders.
  • Accurately performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as required per established PM programs and completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Mentors and/or trains existing and/or new maintenance employees.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader / Supervisor.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
  • Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Additional Expectations
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification or equivalent experience in mechanical field.
  • 4 years’ prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment, or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to accurately use, read, and understand various precision instruments including, but not limited to: Gauges, Meters, Basic Measurements
  • Knowledge of current OSHA, and ANSI standards.
  • Preferred knowledge of computers, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
