Job summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair a variety of warehouse equipment, rack systems, and building systems at our US locations.

You will handle battery changes, general carpentry, and periodic tasks throughout the facility, while ensuring safety and efficiency. The role requires mechanical/electrical aptitude, basic computer skills, and 1–2 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Some technical or trade school preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • 1–2 years of working in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably with industrial machinery.
  • Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance of the facility.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Repair and change racks; work at heights; perform battery changes and general carpentry.
  • Inspect and service conveyor systems, air systems, shipping and packing equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Drive company truck for local pick-ups; report issues to supervisor.

About the Role

This position is responsible for preventative maintenance of the facility, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining warehouse equipment, rack repair & changes, working at heights, performing battery changes, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and safely.
  • Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule.
  • Perform inspections of conveyor systems, air systems, shipping, packing equipment and building systems.
  • Daily tasks may include plumbing, painting, rack repair, cleaning, general carpentry skills and metal fabrication.
  • Change batteries and repair batteries and chargers as needed.
  • Problem‑solve and troubleshoot various conveyor and packaging systems.
  • Complete repair orders and parts usage records.
  • Work in various seasonal climates.
  • Follow company policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Drive company truck for local pick‑ups. Keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures.
  • Follow all company guidelines as stated in the Associate Handbook and Safety Manual.
  • Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact on quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Additional Expectations

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle‑blower service.
