Job summary

Allied Reliability is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production equipment repairs and perform preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess electrical and mechanical skills and be engaged in a team environment to ensure a productive workplace.

This role requires 4-9 years of industrial maintenance experience, a HS Diploma or GED, along with a strong work ethic that aligns with Trex Cultural Values. The position includes hands-on responsibilities like troubleshooting and maintaining machinery.

Job description

Work in a team environment to support production equipment repairs and upgrades and perform general and preventive maintenance. Design, develop, and implement new products/process equipment, all to ensure a productive and safe work environment. The Maintenance Technician role requires both working knowledge and responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance duties.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Promote and practice all aspects of job safety.

  • Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
  • Learn to troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
  • Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, and welding as required.
  • Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
  • Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates acceptably and safely.
  • Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Able to lead small team projects creating a cooperative and effective work environment.

Education/Experiences

    • High Mechanical Aptitude
    • Ability to wear required PPE and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Ability to attend offsite training classes periodically (1-2 weeks per year, with proper notice)
    • Welding experience
    • Experienced in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
    • 4-9 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Preferred:
    • Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent
