Job summary

TERREPOWER, located in Joplin, Missouri, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in keeping the production facility and remanufacturing equipment running smoothly. Candidates should have at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot various equipment.

This role entails executing preventative maintenance tasks, repairing downed equipment, and assisting with equipment installations. The environment may involve exposure to harsh conditions, and suitable candidates should be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Job Description

The Maintenance Tech will assist with keeping the production facility and remanufacturing equipment running smoothly. The Maintenance Tech will also be responsible for handling several daily tasks and checks.

  • Execute Preventative Maintenance Tasks
  • Execute scheduled and non-scheduled PM tasks as directed
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Downed Equipment
  • When equipment on a factory floor runs into problems, determine the cause of these issues. Must be knowledgeable in troubleshooting problems with various types of equipment and understand why equipment is not working properly.
  • Assist with the installation of equipment and line layout changes.
  • Other duties as needed. This position will be assigned other tasks and responsibilities as needed to support operations and logistics.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting 5%, standing/walking 90%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance required.

Experience

Must possess problem‑solving, troubleshooting, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities. Be a strong communicator and team member who can also work independently as needed. Attention to detail, time management skills and organizational skills should also be displayed in this position, as well as above‑average eye‑hand coordination and the ability to stand, kneel or crouch for long periods of time throughout the day. In addition to these main skills and abilities, must also be capable of the following:

  • Installing various types of industrial equipment.
  • Repairing and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Calibrating and maintaining circuitry.
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
  • Fabricating and welding as required for Facility.

Electrical codes – Must be familiar with state and national building electrical codes to ensure that systems are properly installed and maintained.
