Job Description

Job Summary

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technology has an immediate opening for a strong, mechanically minded individual with team player, and success-oriented skills in our Wylie, TX Plant.

Shift: 8 pm - 4:30 am, training will be conducted on 1st shift

Duties And Responsibilities

• Experience and background in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installations of new, and existing plant services.
• Experience and general knowledge of PLC technology.
• Must have mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in production and plant equipment, piping experience consisting of cutting, threading, and installations.
• Welding experience in stick and oxy-acetylene torch capabilities is required.
• Must have millwright skills, which include new equipment installations, alignment, and rigging experience.
• Experience working with Steam, Process Oil, and Cooling Water utilities a plus. Pump troubleshooting, rebuilding, repair, and replacement a must.
• Asphalt plant, and processing knowledge a strong plus.
  
  

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge:
• Operate all hand tools such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.
• Basic carpentry skills a plus.
• Skills:
• Must have good oral and written skills. Computer literacy is a plus.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including emergency calls.
• Abilities:
• Must be a team player and work well with others.
• Must be highly motivated, willing, and able to work with minimum supervision and be goal-oriented, with a desire to constantly strive for perfection.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Required:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred:
• Some college or technical training
  
  

Working Conditions

• Must be able to safely lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from step ladders as well as extension ladders or lifts without fear of heights.
• Must follow all Henry Co. safety procedures relative to any maintenance-related task.
