Job summary

ERMCO in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the third shift to perform routine repairs, inspections, and basic troubleshooting of production equipment. You will work under the Maintenance Team Lead, support safe and reliable operations, and grow into more advanced systems.

Responsibilities include responding to maintenance calls, preventive maintenance, using hand and power tools, following OSHA/LOTO procedures, documenting work in CMMS, and assisting with parts handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Comfort with reading schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety and detail; able to work overtime and on-call when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance; respond to maintenance calls and work orders.
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Follow OSHA and lockout/tagout procedures; document work in the CMMS system.
• Support senior technicians on larger projects and manage parts handling and inventory.

About The Position

The Maintenance Technician - 3rd shift supports day-to-day maintenance operations by performing routine repairs, inspections, and basic troubleshooting of facility and production equipment. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician with a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical maintenance who is eager to grow into more advanced systems and responsibilities. The Maintenance Technician position works under the direction of the Maintenance Team Lead and supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance by responding to maintenance calls and work orders, assisting with preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, safely using hand and power tools, following OSHA and lockout/tagout procedures, documenting work in the CMMS system, maintaining organized work areas, supporting senior technicians on larger projects, and assisting with parts handling and inventory tracking.

Necessary Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical knowledge (bearings, belts, chains, motors, pumps, etc.)
• Basic electrical understanding (sensors, relays, motors, simple circuits)
• Ability to read basic schematics, manuals, and work instructions
• Comfortable troubleshooting problems logically and methodically
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Willingness to learn and take feedback
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and related systems
• Trade school or technical certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Work performed in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Overtime or call in may be required
• Some weekend is required (With 24hr notice)
• 3rd shift availability required (monday to Friday, 11:00PM to 7:00AM)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 Years of consistent work history
• 5 years of Manufacturing environment experience
• Maintenance Vocational Diploma
