Responsibilities

Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Maintenance Worker. The maintenance worker maintains a safe, functional physical environment for patients, employees and guests, providing guidance to associate team members and assisting the Director of Plant Operations with administrative functions.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Diagnose problems and formulate repair plans in a timely manner, following safety guidelines.
2. Ground maintenance: maintain organization of grounds, including cleaning parking lot, mowing lawns, snow removal, trimming bushes and hedges, and planting flowers.
3. General maintenance and repair: routine building maintenance tasks such as replace ceiling tiles, run cables through ceilings, patch wallpaper, floor tiles and sheetrock, perform routine tests of specialized equipment and document results.
4. Plumbing and electrical: routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair; replace, clean and unclog floor drains and other traps and drains; install light switches, repair wires and outlets, install light bulbs and tubes.
5. Complete assignments in a timely manner; clean areas thoroughly upon completion, minimizing repeat tasks.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum three (3) years general experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning with experience in repairs and maintenance in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Hours of Work: Determined by the Director of Plant Operations according to the needs of the facility / as needed.
