Job summary

Goldmark Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for The Edge of Uptown to ensure reliable, timely repairs and a high level of resident satisfaction. You will perform repairs across heating, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and more while keeping work areas clean and safe.

The role emphasizes strong resident service, attention to detail, and teamwork with other staff to maintain properties and respond to requests.

Qualifications

• High School degree, GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related maintenance experience or training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle and clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing and verbal).
• Demonstrated advanced maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned service requests for repairs and upkeep of properties including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Recommend replacement or repair and ensure work is professional and clean.
• Prepare open apartments for rental within 24–72 hours and coordinate work of staff or vendors.
• Maintain relationships with residents by addressing requests and concerns.
• Document daily building inspections with focus on proactive maintenance.
• Maintain attractive appearance of buildings and grounds and report needs.
• Participate in ongoing training to grow maintenance knowledge.

The Maintenance Technician 2 at The Edge of Uptown is a critical member of our team who can solve a problem for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying and resolving problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards.

Starting pay $23 per hour (and more based on experience)!

• Potential to earn up to $5.21 more per hour with incentives.

Job Duties Include

• Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties. This includes areas of heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs. Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary. Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents homes.
• Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours. This may include coordinating the work of other staff or vendors.
• Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or maintenance team members as appropriate.
• Complete and document daily building inspections with the focus on proactive maintenance.
• Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs.
• Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.

Experience And Education

• A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
• Equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
• Business needs and/or state, local and federal laws may dictate required certifications and licensure for a region or specific location.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.
