Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in a manufacturing setting. You will maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems, install and dismantle equipment, and perform a variety of maintenance tasks across the facility.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and basic computer skills. Safety and precision are essential in daily duties and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related machine maintenance experience.
• Forklift experience required.
• Some computer skills; MaintainX or similar software used.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, boiler preferred.
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment; hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance.
• Start machines and check operation for efficiency and problems.
• Inspect damaged parts and advise on repairs.
• Lubricate parts and apply materials per procedures.
• Install/replace machine parts per production specs.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using tools and hoists.
• Record maintenance information.
• Read work orders and set up/operate machines as needed.
• Transport parts and tools between areas using cranes or dollies.
• During maintenance, keep machinery and area clean and safe.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Our client makes fan fold foam insulation and is located in Prospect with two locations down the street from each other. They have 45 employees between the two facilities. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician on 1st Shift. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment. You will also be responsible for installation and dismantling of equipment along with other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair
• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
  Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.
• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education – High School diploma or GED required
• One to two (1-2) years related machine maintenance experience
• Must have forklift experience.
• Must have some computer skills. They use MaintainX - transferable software is okay.
• Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment. Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Capable of using the following equipment as needed: hand & power tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP)

Pay Rate:

$38.19- $40.19 Hourly
