Job summary

Independent Management Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform resident service requests and preventive maintenance across our communities. You will recondition vacant units—painting, basic repairs, and cleaning—and ensure grounds are well-groomed, weed-free, and free of litter.

Responsibilities include after-hours on-call coverage in rotation, responding to 24-hour emergency requests, managing supplies, snow removal, and contributing to ongoing maintenance training and

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with good communication.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance concepts (plumbing, repairs, etc.).
• Must own tools to perform tasks at the property.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Recondition vacant units: paint, basic repairs, clean.
• Maintain well-groomed grounds; remove litter.
• Control weeds and overgrowth on grounds.
• On-call duties after-hours, weekends, holidays (rotation).
• Respond to resident requests for 24-hour emergency service.
• Monitor inventory and maintenance supplies.
• Snow removal: salting roads, walkways, parking areas.
• Create and maintain a well-groomed community appearance.
• Report to Site Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing maintenance education and training.
