Job summary

National Fitness Partners, a Planet Fitness franchise network, seeks a Building/Maintenance Technician in Phoenixville, PA. The role covers preventative and ongoing maintenance of club equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The technician will service multiple locations within driving distance, with a company vehicle provided. Typical shifts span 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and schedules may vary for projects and training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general facility maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment.
• Good customer service skills and effective communicator.
• Must be able to work independently with multitasking and prioritization.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Travel up to 75% of time.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred, preferably in fitness.
• Current CPR Certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Repair and upkeep of cardio equipment, weight machines, tanning, and hydro massage beds.
• Repair and upkeep of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
• Facility upkeep including painting and general handyman tasks.
• Coordinate external services for warranty issues and extensive repairs.
• Execute maintenance schedules for equipment and facility.
• Provide timely support to club managers for issues.
• Weekend and evening availability, with some travel for training.
• Occasional travel to support other locations.

$24+ per hour, commensurate with experience.

Job Summary

The Building/Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and on-going general maintenance and repairs of club equipment and club facilities to include plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Repair and upkeep of all cardio equipment, weight machines, tanning, and hydro massage beds, etc.
• Mechanical systems repair and upkeep such as plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and electrical.
• Facility upkeep, including painting and general handyman tasks.
• Collaborate with management in coordinating external services for warranty issues, extensive repairs and inspections.
• Execute annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance schedules for equipment and facility.
• Provide +1 customer service to club managers addressing and resolving all facility and equipment issues within the scheduled agreed upon timeframe.
• Respond and resolve emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Core working hours for this position are between 7:00AM – 6:00PM. Consistent schedules are required. Hours worked outside of agreed up schedule must be approved by the direct manager.
• Flexibility with schedules during special projects is required.
• Must be available on weekends and evenings, as needed, to respond to maintenance inquiries and emergencies.
• Must be willing to occasionally travel for training and to support other locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Current CPR Certification recommended.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft office Suite).
• Superior problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership and diplomacy skills.
• A passion for health and fitness.
