Residence Inn Noblesville is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure a welcoming, well-maintained environment for guests. You will respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and keep rooms, meeting spaces, and common areas in top condition.

The role requires a can-do attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with various trades, from electrical to plumbing and carpentry, while prioritizing guest satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to respond to guest repair requests with courtesy and professionalism.
• Capable of performing preventative maintenance across rooms and public spaces.
• Familiarity with basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly demeanor and team-first attitude at all times.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
• Inspect and repair lighting, appliances, plumbing, and HVAC components.
• Handle painting, drywall touch-ups, and minor carpentry tasks.
• Maintain pool and pool equipment, and manage chemical levels.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components and devices.
• Protect hotel assets and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Coordinate with departments and report safety incidents.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Respond and attend to guest’s repair requests
• Communicate with guest/customers to resolve maintenance issues
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces a required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building
• Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trip repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and complete thorough clean-up of painting or repair area
• Inspecting and repairing grout and caulking
• Maintain pool, chemicals, and pool equipment
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment (i.e., plunge toilets, change toilet seats, and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program TV’s and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
• Follow company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions
• Protect company assets
• Develop relationships with all departments and communicate regularly

Minimum Requirements:

The Maintenance Technician. role requires standing for long periods of time, or entire shifts. Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
