Job summary

Mountain View Apartments is seeking a reliable, full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team for a 105-unit community. This role maintains unit conditions, performs repairs, and completes turns for new residents.

The ideal candidate excels in painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and PTAC systems, and can diagnose/repair independently. On-site housing is available; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment maintenance or similar field.
• Able to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.
• Knowledge of PTAC systems and electrical water heaters is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for work order systems and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant units.
• Complete unit turns including repairs, painting, and prep for new residents.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, light electrical, and PTAC issues.
• Maintain and service electrical water heaters.
• Perform carpentry work including minor framing and installs.
• Install, repair, and maintain vinyl plank flooring (no carpet work).
• Conduct general building and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist with exterior projects and property upkeep (grounds, structures, common areas).
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and notify management of shortages.
• Document completed work and communicate updates to the Site Manager.
• Use basic computer systems for work orders and reporting.

Position Summary:
Mountain View Apartments is seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, functionality, and appearance of our 105-unit community. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can troubleshoot and complete tasks independently while also contributing as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant units
• Complete unit turns efficiently, including repairs, painting, and preparation for new residents
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, light electrical systems, and PTAC units
• Maintain and service electrical water heaters
• Perform carpentry work including minor framing, repairs, and installations
• Install, repair, and maintain vinyl plank flooring (no carpet work required)
• Conduct general building maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks
• Assist with ongoing exterior projects and property upkeep (grounds, structures, and common areas)
• Maintain organized inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; notify management of shortages
